In der ungewöhnlichen Besetzung Tenorsaxophon (Daniel Erdmann), Violine und Viola (Théo Ceccaldi) und Vibraphon (Jim Hart) spielte die Band beim Jazzarchitekt in Wiesbaden. Das gute bei vielen Jazzkonzerten: man ist nah dran und die Kommunikation zwischen Band und Publikum ist ziemlich unmittelbar. Dass es ein gelungenes Konzert – auch mit zufriedenen Musikern – war, kann man auf einigen der Bilder wohl erkennen.

There are so many great musicians around, I regrettably never heard of. One of them was introduced to me by my friend Marcus and I had the pleasure to listen for the first time to Spencer Bohren in a nice setting last Saturday. He played a „house concert“ in Meckesheim – thanks to Birgit and Mathias for their warm hospitality and the chance to join and meet some very nice people.

Spencer Bohren: just a man with a guitar, more specifically three guitars, and a bunch of great songs. „Americana“, impressive covers and some wonderful songs by his own – check him out, he still plays some concerts in Europe. A few photos I took:
